Pand Cloud AntiVirus was a good AntiVirus software before. It actually detected more malware than any other Anti-Malware around in PC World test including Kaspersky. The problems it has always suffered from is detecting dangerous links to malware sites. Tests showed it only detected around 75% of all malware links which is low for an AntiVirus. Now since the release of Panda Cloud 1.1, it now has the ability to work with other AntiVirus software such as AntiVir Personal. This makes it a must have piece of software and has replaced ThreatFire as my secondary line of protection. The downsides besides the low detections of malware links is the fact it can lock up certain files and folders and prevent you from deleting them. It also doesn't give you a scan log that shows detailed results, and only tells you if it finds something by default. As a main AntiVirus I wouldn't recommend it due to the low detections of malware links and the fact it's scan log only shows what it finds, and shows nothing if it doesn't find anything by default. But since it is now available to work with your main AntiVirus it is a very good product to have. Whether your favorite is a free app like AntiVir Personal or a paid app such as Kaspersky. You can't go wrong with Panda Cloud as your second line of defense.
